A Day in My Life at VIT Chennai
Campus: How’s Everything?
The VIT campus is spread across a vast area of 192 acres. The well-planned and extensive infrastructure offered for both students and professors is a standout characteristic of VIT. Every building at the University has fully furnished and well equipped labs with servers to manage all data flows. Furthermore, the institution has several elements that support a variety of events, including auditoriums, vast open spaces, outdoor stages, and more.
VIT was also named the 12th best research and the 12th best Engineering institution in India under the 2021 NIRF Ranking published by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has also accredited VIT with the highest-grade A++ in 2021 (4th cycle).
Beginning the Day: Here’s Where It Begins
My first class of the day begins at 8:00 a.m. We used to get up at 7:45 a.m to record our attendance during online sessions. However, when offline lessons began, the situation changed. I’d like to draw attention to the day scholars’ schedule, which requires them to board the bus at 6:30 a.m. At the same time, it’s not simple for hostellers; getting up before 8 a.m. and getting to class on time becomes a challenge owing to the excessive crowd.
Classes: The Most Important Part?
Other than the trouble of reaching classes on time, the experience has been amazing. Teachers are always there to aid us when we need it, but there are a few exceptions.
Lunch: Food, Here I Come!
After a series of 50-minute sessions, I return to the amphitheatre for lunch, while the hostellers proceed to the mess. Lunch is a less formal affair. Our campus is beautiful, and there is always a soft breeze when we have lunch. Following lunch, we may or may not have classes depending on the timetable opted individually during FFCS (cough cough).
Evenings and Nights: Friends, Booze and Chill?
During the evenings and nights, hostels are buzzing with activity, and the library always appears to be full, and this is when people attempt to be productive. Spending time with friends, meeting others who are like us, showing our abilities, and gossiping are all things we lost out on during the epidemic.
Weekends: There’s Something for Everyone!
Weekends at VIT Chennai are never dull. There is always something to do with a variety of clubs and societies. Hostellers are currently not permitted to leave campus. We’re hoping to go on some adventures shortly and build unforgettable moments that can be cherished forever.
Relaxing: Feeling Left Out?
With so much to do on campus, it’s easy to feel pulled in a million different directions. The fear of losing out on something fantastic is constantly present. It also depends on your interests and where you feel most at ease. VIT Chennai has a gym, gazebo, lake, and some monkeys to keep you company when you’re bored. It may be difficult to keep up with courses and maintain a respectable CGPA, but I assume it will be worth it in the end. I believe that the secret to success is the willingness to serve without aspiring for rewards
